G.A.R.S  encourage the use of good operating practices and procedures when on air.

We are always looking to recruit new members, be they accomplished Amateur licence holders, or those looking to get started in the hobby and gaining their licence.

We meet every Thursday at the Cromwell Social Club on Cromwell Road in Grimsby from 7.30pm.

The first Thursday being the meeting night and the others are general "natter" nights or "speaker" nights when guests are invited to give talks on various parts of the Amateur Radio hobby. We also take part in group visits.

We are greatly represented by those who take parts in CONTESTS and also set up SPECIAL EVENT stations for all manner of groups, associations and functions.

Grimsby Amateur Radio Society was formed in the 1930's.

Membership is by proposal of a fully paid up member of the Society.

The Society is affiliated to both the

Radio Society of Great Britain (RSGB)

and

The International Short Wave League (ISWL)
