I have been a short wave listener for over 40 years I started like most listeners with an old radio listening to radio Luxembourg with its signal fading in and out along the American broadcasting stations in Europe back in 1965, but like most hobbies one has to serve there

I have 2 other hobbies one started when I was 10 years old and was given my Grandfather's WW I medals, I have been a keen collector of campaign medals from that day on .

I am also a WWII living history re-enactor, and am an active member of Grimsby & Cleethorpes Scout fellowship

I married my wife Jean back in 1973 we have a son who is a soldier and 2 Grandchildren , things are quieter at home now as all that we have now are our 2 cats
