Radio Society of Great britain 24-hour amateur radio station 
national competition. 
The Grimsby Amateur Radio Society pitched their tents 
on the British Legion fields at Healing

Dots and dashes were tapped out in their 
thousands from a small tent in Springfield Scout
Field, Grimsby, all through the night as local radio hams
moved in and set up a mobile radio station.
The contact makers were members of the Grimsby
and District Amateur Radio Society taking part in a
national field day organised by the Radio Society 
of Great Britain.
Some 16 members of the local society operated in 
shifts throughout the 12 hours.
